Ulster County Housing Consortium
Ulster County Legislators established the Ulster County Housing Consortium in 2001 in response to federal requirements that housing growth trends be studied. The Housing Consortium is the official advisory body of the Ulster County Legislature on housing issues and housing development in the area.
Mission
The mission of the Ulster County Housing Consortium is to provide a cooperative and collaborative environment in which all persons and entities can work together to effectively and efficiently garner and use resources to execute safe, decent, affordable housing and related support services which meet the needs of Ulster County residents.
Ulster County Housing Consortium Members
The Ulster County Housing Consortium is comprised of representatives from private businesses, Ulster County government departments, and private not-for-profit development and human services agencies, all of which share a concern for housing in our community. Members include:
- Ulster County Legislature
- Ulster County Planning Department
- City of Kingston
- Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO)
- Resource Center for Accessible Living (RCAL)
- Family of Woodstock
- Ulster County Development Corporation (UCDC)
- Ulster Savings Bank
- Birchez Associates LLC
- Ulster County DSS
